Chinese Buffet

Photos from our Mexico trip, December 2010 of the chinese buffet we went to a couple evenings.

This is my last assignment as Guest Designer for the Apron Strings Blog, using the October Afternoon 'Modern Homemaker' line which was part of the Smaller than a Breadbox February Kit along with the PageMap for the month by Becky Fleck.

I used a Bazzill Stitching Template for the circle. Added Doodlebug Alphas, Black Floss and Ink, Black CS for my matte, and Jillibean Soup Journal Spot to the kit.

I used a January kit by The ScrapRoom, featuring the Cosmo Cricket 'Circa 1934' line.

Alittle tip here......if your alphas don't match your layout, use some Smooch Ink or other inks to change their color. Worked great for me here and I even touched up the ends of the white flower with the same ink.

Birthday Wishes!

Here's my layout for the Apron Strings Blog this week! I adore this gorgeous line by Echo Park and am so happy Lori chose to include it with the February kits! Using the 'Be Mine' line I scrapped photos of DGD Kaylee's 9th birthday from last June. I love using border punches, distressing, and stitching on my layouts to give them a bit of extra detail. On this layout I used 2 different border punches above and below my title. I used a distressing tool on the circle edge and gathered my lace and then machine stitched it on. I also used Stickles on the flowers for a bit of bling!

Here's another layout I did for the Apron Strings Blog, using the My Mind's Eye 'Alphabet Soup' Pack this time. These papers are really fun 2-sided papers which you could use for a variety of topics!

Apron Strings February Guest Designer!

I wanted to share some exciting new with you! I'm the February Guest Designer for the Apron Strings Blog. I love Lori's kits and have gotten them off and on over the years and recently decided to sub. I chose to design this month with the Smaller than a Bread Box February Kit and for my first layout I used the Echo Park 'Be Mine' line. These papers are just so pretty and I love the color combo. You'll be excited to create too when you get your kits!
